The squadron staff is a team of Cadet Instructor Cadre (CIC) officers, Civilian Instructors (CI) and Civilian Volunteers (CV). As members of the CIC, they belong to the Cadet Organization Administration and Training Service (COATS), which is a sub-component of the Canadian Forces Reserves. The staff at 188 Cobra are specifically tasked with the supervision, administration and training of cadets. Staff have full time day jobs while they dedicate their evenings, weekends and vacation days to the development of the youth under their care. All our adult staff are trained and screened to work with youth.

Administration
Ontario Health Card - All cadets are to carry their Ontario Health Card on their person at all times during cadet activities.
CADET365 - All cadets are to be on CADET365 for access to all important communication and forms within our squadron. If you do not have your login credentials or are having issues logging in, contact Lt Mrasek or OCdt Owusu for any further assistance.
Mandatory Training
Fall 2026 FTX - The squadron will be conducting a field training exercise (FTX) on the weekend of 02-04 October 2026 at Blackdown Cadet Training Centre. This is an overnight activity. This activity is mandatory for all cadets. Cadets are to meet at Denison Armoury, Trailer B for 1815hrs on 02 October 2026. Buses will return for 1500hrs on 04 October 2026. Meals will be provided starting with Saturday (03 October 2026) breakfast. Dress for the weekend is C5 (FTU) and appropriate civilian attire. CLICK ME TO ACCESS KIT LIST!
Thanksgiving - The squadron will be standing down on 12 October 2026 for Thanksgiving. There will be no cadet activities during this day.
Cadet Fitness Incentive Program - The squadron will be conducting the Cadet Fitness Incentive Program on 11 November 2026. All cadets are to attempt the activities. Dress of the day is appropriate physical training attire. Contact FSgt Kogan on Microsoft Teams for any further questions.
Optional Training
Poppy Selling Volunteering - Cadets are invited to volunteer for the 2026 Poppy Campaign at Yorkdale Shopping Centre. Shifts will run from 1200–1500hrs and 1500–1800hrs, with scheduling completed on a first-come, first-served basis. Eight cadets may participate per shift. Dress of this activity is C3. RCAF Remembrance Day Ceremony – Cadets are invited to attend the RCAF Remembrance Day Ceremony on 11 November 2026 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. The ceremony will begin at 1000hrs at the Lieutenant Colonel William G. Barker VC monument. Parent drop-off/pick-up is required. Dress of the day is C1. Biathlon Team - The Biathlon Team will be practicing on Sundays between 1045-1200hrs at Denison Armoury. Dress of the day is appropriate civilian attire. Refer to C365 and the calendar for any cancellations. Those who are on the team will be added in a Microsoft Teams group chat. Contact CI Li on Microsoft Teams (C365) for any further questions.
Marksmanship Team - The Marksmanship Team will be practicing on Sundays between 1100-1300hrs at Denison Armoury. Dress of the day is appropriate civilian attire. Sports – A variety of sports will occur throughout the available optional training weekends. These sports include Volleyball, Basketball, and Ultimate Frisbee! All cadets are welcome to come out for sports on Sundays between 1400-1530hrs at Denison Armoury. Dress is appropriate physical fitness attire. Refer to C365 and the calendar for any cancellations. Drill With Arms Team - The Drill With Arms Team will be practicing on Sundays between 1530-1700hrs at Denison Armoury. Dress of the day is appropriate civilian attire with parade boots and wedge.
